Dec 12 (Sat): Rick and Viki (from "BMJ Events & DJ" in Birmingham) will teach a two hour Whiskey River Jitterbug workshop on December 12. The Whiskey River Jitterbug is a version of 6-count swing that is popular in Southwest LA and East Texas. Beginners are welcome and for the experienced CZ dancers, this is a great new dance to add to your CZ repertoire and/or add to your zydeco dancing especially for those of you who enjoy Swing dance or just want some new moves). Rick and Vicki have been dancing and teaching the Whiskey River (sometimes called Lake Charles Slide) for several years. Class will be from 3:30 to 5:30 at Southern Elegance. Rick & Viki have generously agreed to donate the proceeds from this class to CZC. Cost for class is $8 for members and $10 for non-members. OR combined admission for class AND the Christmas dance is $12 for members and $15 for non-members. Come learn a great new dance and support CZC too !
